Description
We are looking for a solicitor with a background in Financial Regulation to join our leading Financial Markets & Regulatory team. You will be responsible for varied challenging complex legal work which often sets the pace in the market. In this role you will perform primarily advisory and drafting work for a range of clients including major financial institutions, digital asset platforms, technology firms and government/transnational bodies. About the team This role will see you work closely with Urszula McCormack, Partner in our Financial Markets & Regulatory Team. Urszula is a regulatory specialist who leads KWM’s APAC Digital Economy Team. Urszula has a significant focus on technology-enabled finance, including blockchain, digital assets and payments. Urszula works with some of the world’s largest regulated institutions and transnational bodies, supporting digital economy development in the APAC region, complex legal analysis and large-scale projects involving major banks, central banks and technology companies. A particular feature of Urszula’s work is that it is routinely cross-border, providing the opportunity to coordinate matters across multiple jurisdictions. You will also have the opportunity to work with Dale Rayner, another senior Partner in the team, who specialises in major bank projects, carbon, digital assets and asset finance. You will have hunger to learn – no prior knowledge in digital assets or other technologies is needed, but deep curiosity is a must passion for the law excellent analytical, communication and research skills an ability to distil complex issues into simple messages and clear drafting strong interpersonal skills enthusiasm to be involved in business development activities You will have recognised experience gained in a similar environment and be keen to work as part of a committed team.
