Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a qualified Solicitor to join our team in Gateshead, supporting the delivery of our legal aid funded services. This vital role focuses on housing, discrimination, and education law, providing life-changing legal advice and representation to individuals and families in need.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

Working closely with the Legal Services Manager you will support our services through a combination of face-to-face consultations, casework, and advocacy support for clients in Gateshead, Sunderland, South Tyneside, Durham, and remotely on a national level. You will also support the broader team in delivering advice in the relevant areas of law.
While the successful applicant must be a qualified solicitor, training on these specific services will be provided as part of the role.
You must have excellent organisational and client care skills, work independently, meet tight deadlines, and maintain high accuracy.
