Responsibilities

YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

  • Supervising, mentoring and quality reviewing the work of more junior team members on document and information-intensive aspects of Disputes matters.
  • Conducting document review and more legally complex tasks including evidence preparation, claims assessment and supporting clients directly.
  • When required, stepping up to lead fee earning projects escalating to Senior Solicitors and/or Managers for support as required.
  • Contributing to the development of others, including briefing and providing feedback/training to junior team members.
  • Collaborating with colleagues in the Digital Legal Delivery practice (nationally and globally), as well as expert lawyers across HSF Kramer.
  • Supporting the design and implementation of tech-driven improvements and processes to drive efficiencies and innovation.
  • Maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws, as well as the ongoing developments in AI/legal technology.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL HAVE:

  • An unrestricted practicing certificate in the relevant Australian jurisdiction.
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience, ideally with a minimum of 6 months in dispute resolution/litigation.
  • Experience with large scale doc review processes (ideally using Relativity).
  • Experience using generative AI/legal technology and an interest in NewLaw.
  • Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to review, analyse and organise documentary and factual evidence.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Experience supervising graduates or paralegals, openly sharing knowledge to foster the development of others in the team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to build relationships within the Digital team and wider HSF Kramer firm.
