Are you a junior financial services lawyer looking to grow your career in a supportive market leading practice?
We are seeking an enthusiastic and team orientated solicitor to join our superannuation, insurance, financial advice, and funds management practice.
About the role
King & Wood Mallesons is known for its market leading financial services practice. We currently have an opportunity for a junior or senior lawyer in our financial services team with a focus on superannuation, insurance, financial advice, and funds management. You will be working alongside two market leading partners,
Sarah Yu
and
Nathan Hodge
.
KWM’s clients span major banks and wealth management institutions, super funds (industry, retail, and public sector), insurers (life and general), investment managers and administrators and various service providers. Our team is established, growing, collegiate and high performing.

We have worked on some of Australia and Asia’s most complex and industry defining transactions and act for the region’s largest and most significant superannuation funds, insurers, and major financial institutions. This role will be varied and interesting and will include acting and advising on:

  • Transactions - both in our speciality areas (eg share sales as well as SFTs and insurance schemes) as well as more broadly across the firm
  • Advisory – all aspects of advisory work for our clients such as:
  • Optimising organisational structures
  • Governance
  • All aspects of a product lifecycle
  • Arrangements with material service providers
  • New regulatory developments and technology
  • Operational and disclosure
  • Investments
  • Financial advice
  • Regulatory issues and solutions
  • Dispute resolution

Our work requires someone who thrives in an environment where they will be learning and doing a variety of work including advisory, drafting, and transactional work. We work closely with specialists from other practice groups across the whole firm.

  • have first rate experience of drafting documents
