Finance Solicitor (Junior Associate)
We are partnering with a leading global law firm to recruit a Finance Junior Associate to join their Belfast Finance Team. The firm advises a wide range of lenders and borrowers on various financing transactions, including acquisition finance, real estate, social housing, education finance, corporate lending, and debt capital markets. They work with top UK clearing banks and European institutions on high-value transactions across the UK and Northern Ireland.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Qualified Solicitor in Northern Ireland
  • Minimum of 6 years’ post-qualification experience
  • Strong banking background, with a focus on real estate finance and corporate lending
  • Experienced in drafting and negotiating LMA documentation
  • Proven experience in managing and mentoring junior solicitors and trainees
  • Proactive, collaborative, and enthusiastic team player
Responsibilities
  • Advise lenders and borrowers on syndicated and bilateral financing transactions, including real estate finance, corporate lending, and debt capital markets.
  • Draft and negotiate LMA documentation confidently.
  • Manage and mentor junior solicitors and trainees.
  • Build strong working relationships with colleagues and clients, both in-office and remotely.
  • Deliver high-quality, client-facing legal services with innovative and commercial solutions.
  • Collaborate with senior lawyers and partners on transactions and practice development.
  • Continuously develop skills, particularly in social housing (if applicable).
