Solicitor (2-4 years) - Native Title and Resources Projects About the role You will be responsible for varied challenging complex legal work which often sets the pace in the market. Working closely with Scott Singleton, you will perform primarily advisory, agreement-making and transactional work for a range of clients in the renewable energy, critical minerals, resources, government, infrastructure and telecommunications sectors, across Australia. Primary practice areas include: Native title and First Nations engagement and advisory support, including engagement strategies, negotiations and agreement-making for native title and shared benefits agreements, consultation processes and regulatory compliance Cultural heritage agreement-making and consultation, approvals and regulatory compliance Negotiating land access and co-existence arrangements between proponents and landholders for energy and resources projects State agreements, joint ventures and regulatory issues for resources developments Mining and petroleum tenement transactions Advice and agreements for mine and gas field development Court representation of parties to native title claims and native title compensation claims, and parties to land access disputes You will have strong experience in native title and cultural heritage matters, and enthusiasm to further pursue a career in that space regulatory experience with any or all of the Australian mining and petroleum regimes excellent analytical, communication and research skills and advanced experience of drafting documents strong commitment to client service and well-developed relationship management ability demonstrated commitment to effective teamwork enthusiasm to be involved in business development activities at least 2-4 years post-admission experience Who are we?
