In the role you will need (ESSENTIALS):

Experience in a similar role and should be able to demonstrate a good understanding of the Personal Injury and Travel Litigation markets.

• A sound understanding of the relevant law.
• A strong commercial awareness.
• Ability to demonstrate proficiency in all aspects of a case from beginning to end.
• Excellent communication skills, demonstrated by an ability to communicate accurately, clearly, and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
• Be able to demonstrate high client care/service skills.

It is desired that you have:

• Ability to work in and contribute to a team environment.
• Excellent organisation skills and ability prioritise a workload effectively.
• Ability to build and maintain good working relationships.
• Solid experience in using a variety of IT packages. Use of Proclaim, Case Management System, an advantage.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

We are looking for a Solicitor or Legal Executive with at least 2 years’ PQE or similar to join our Travel Litigation Department in our Manchester office.

In this role, every day will be a unique and exciting challenge that will include:

• Running a caseload of pre-litigation and litigated accidents abroad cases
• Ensuring that cases are progressed effectively, meeting defined deadlines, and complying with precedents and documents in our case management system
• Providing a high level of client care, respect and integrity in the management and progression of client’s cases
• Obtaining medical evidence when required and reviewing and providing advice on it
• Collating and reviewing documentation and evidence
• Managing all aspects of cases including time recording, billing and debtor management in order to achieve personal fee and chargeable time targets
• Actively engaging in Business Development to ensure high visibility of the department and wider company
