As a Solicitor in Health Legal, you’ll work on complex and high-impact issues - from legislative development to commercial and public law matters - advising on decisions that influence the health and wellbeing of communities across Aotearoa. This is a unique opportunity to combine legal practice with policy influence, working alongside skilled professionals in a collaborative and purpose-driven environment. Provide high-quality legal advice and interpretation, identifying risks, issues, and opportunities across a range of legislative and regulatory matters. Support policy development and legislative processes, contributing legal insights and helping translate policy into effective legislation. Deliver corporate and commercial legal work, including drafting and advising on contracts, procurement processes, and commercial arrangements. Contribute to litigation and public law matters, working with external counsel and supporting civil and criminal proceedings involving the Ministry. Build strong relationships and lead work delivery, collaborating across teams and stakeholders to deliver high-quality, timely legal outcomes.
