DWF Law LLP is seeking to recruit a Associate/Solicitor to join our growing Major Injury & Casualty team dealing varied caseload of litigated cases across Personal Injury, Serious Injury, Road Traffic Accidents (RTA) and Motor claims. The role can be worked from Glasgow or Edinburgh on a hybrid basis. Responsibilities Ensuring that cases are progressed as quickly and efficiently as possible. Strong technical ability to include a thorough grasp of principles, case law and litigation. Working with our valued and long-standing clients to understand requirements and manage cases in line with service level agreements and best practice. Prioritising work effectively and maximising efficiency in working practices Building stakeholder relationships both internally and externally Developing your technical and commercial knowledge via training or working practices. What will help you succeed in this role? Essential Criteria; Experience handling own caseload of pre-litigated and Sheriff Court actions as well as assisting more senior team members with large value, complex files. Experience managing Personal Injury, Serious Injury, Road Traffic Accidents (RTA) and Motor claims. Insurance litigation experience is essential. Desirable Criteria; Experience handling litigation experience in one of the following area's - Employers Liability, Public Liability, Motor, RTA, Casualty, Disease, Personal injury, Serious injury and catastrophic injury Experience of acting for Defenders, including litigation experience. Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills. Excellent negotiation and communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships and to work effectively under pressure. What we offer?
