THE OPPORTUNITY

As a Solicitor on a permanent basis in our Personal Injury practice in our Melbourne CBD-based office, you’ll be on the frontline as we doggedly seek justice. This role will see you work across a variety of personal injury matters, with a focus on WorkCover and Transport Accident Commission (TAC) cases.
We are seeking a solicitor, with experience litigating personal injury cases, who is passionate about assisting vulnerable everyday Australians in achieving justice. If you are hoping to bring your expertise and sensitivity in helping our clients right wrong, this could be the opportunity you’ve been waiting for.

While this could be a full-time opportunity, we’re also open to considering experienced personal injury solicitors who are seeking flexibility, in the form of a minimum of three (3) days per week. With compassion, connection and purpose, you’ll truly champion our clients by:

• Providing clients with legal advice and representation to obtain compensation across WorkCover and TAC cases.
• Work across a variety of client matters that require a high level of sensitivity.
• Provide legal advice to each client’s particular matter to suit their level of understanding.
• Develop and maintain strong professional working relationships with clients, including effective and regular communication and managing the client’s expectations.
• Draft legal documentation with a high degree of attention to detail.
• Manage and run a file load with a high level of commercial and fiscal awareness.

To thrive in this role, you’ll have:

• Current practising certificate or ability to obtain one.
• Experience as a solicitor.
• Experience across personal injury cases will make your application competitive.
• A strong understanding of, and ability to interpret the relevant legislation and legal documentation.
• Enjoy working on legally challenging and factually complex matters.
• Maturity and confidence to deal with clients who have suffered injuries.
