DESCRIPTION

Momentum Aeronautics is seeking a skilled SolidWorks Designer/Drafter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for aviation and for designing, drafting, and developing mechanical components and systems through the use of SolidWorks.
You will be responsible for designing products and creating detailed technical drawings that communicate detailed product specifications and requirements. Successful candidates will be able to work in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines, have excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with all members of our team.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Associates degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience as a SolidWorks Designer/Drafter in the aviation or aerospace industry.
  • Excellent knowledge of SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and other design software platforms.
  • Experience making CAD drawings for machined components.
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles and design practices.
  • Experience using engineering tools such as tolerance analysis and GD&T.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

    Pay: $60,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year

Responsibilities
  • Designing and developing mechanical components using SolidWorks software.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including engineers and technicians, to create detailed technical drawings and specifications.
  • Modifying and revising designs based on feedback from project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders.
  • Creating detailed bills of materials and component catalogs.
  • Ensuring that all designs comply with industry standards and regulations.
  • Conducting design and engineering studies on existing products to improve functionality and performance.
  • Managing multiple projects simultaneously while working under tight deadlines.
