Description

The client is a Canberra-based commercial kitchen sheet metal fabrication company. They design, fabricate, and install custom stainless steel benchwork, frames, and kitchen equipment for commercial projects. They are seeking a SolidWorks Draftsperson to provide 3D modelling and fabrication-ready drawings based on plans and information supplied by the team. Scope of work: 3D and 2D modelling and detailing of commercial kitchen benchwork, framing, and sheet metal components Produce manufacturing-ready drawings suitable for workshop fabrication Work from plans, client specifications, sketches, and mark-ups provided Software and file deliverables: SolidWorks native files: SLDPRT (Part), SLDASM (Assembly), SLDDRW (Drawing) Export files as required: DXF, DFT, DWG for CNC or laser cutting Revit experience (RVT floor plans) is desirable but not required Drawing structure and standards: Follow ACT Stainless Steel drawing templates and internal standards Approval / Client pages including overall description, key dimensions, layout, notes, and finishes Fabrication drawings showing framing details, material specifications, cut lengths, assembly, and welding information Sheet metal flat patterns with correct bend lines, fold directions, and material thickness, ready for CNC fabrication Turnaround expectations: Turnaround varies depending on project size and complexity Small items may require quick turnaround Larger kitchen packages will have longer drafting timeframes Priorities will be communicated by the team Workload and engagement: Steady drafting work throughout the year Occasional slower periods between installation phases Long-term engagement preferred with consistent availability Review and approval process: Initial drawings will be reviewed internally Feedback and mark-ups will be provided Accuracy, clarity, and consistency are critical Close collaboration required to align with standards Ideal candidate: Strong experience in SolidWorks sheet metal and weldment modelling Proven experience producing kitchen sheet metal fabrication-ready drawings Experience in Revit floor plan drafting is an advantage Comfortable working from supplied plans and mark-ups Reliable, responsive, and able to communicate effectively Willing to follow company-specific drafting standards Fluent in English We are looking for someone who is comfortable in working onsite in Robinsons Cyberscape Gamma Ortigas, Pasig City within 4:30 AM to 1:30 PM Manila Time or 5:30 AM to 2:30 PM Manila Time shift
