The Smart Maintenance Suite (SMS)’s vision is to enable plant maintenance excellence globally in BASF. The product aims to improve overall work productivity of plant maintenance workers through a simplified user interface that is fully integrated with SAP.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and innovative Solution Analyst to join our team. As a Solution Analyst, you will primarily support the Product Owner / Manager in preparing key information for decision making with business stakeholders and bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions that align with SMS’s product roadmap and vision. You will work with a dynamic and multi-cultural team including but not limited to business users, software developers, agility master in ensuring successful delivery of impactful features and functionalities to our end users.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education and work experience

  • Degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Minimum 4-5 years of experience as a Solution Analyst, Business Analyst or similar role

Technical & Professional Knowledge (mandatory)

  • Proven experience in business analysis, solution design, or a similar role.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in tools such as Microsoft Office Suite, project management tools, and business analysis software.
  • Empathize with internal customers and demonstrate strong customer focus
  • Self-driven and takes initiative to learn and experiment
  • Have experienced in agile way of working

Technical & Professional Knowledge (additional plus/nice to have skills)

  • Familiar with SAP / ERP systems
  • Knowledge in delivering B2B digital solutions
Responsibilities
  • Requirement Gathering & Analysis: Support Product Owner in collaborating with business stakeholders to gather and document requirements, translating them into functional specifications.
  • Solution Design: Analyze business problems and identify innovative solutions, working closely with technical teams to design and validate proposed solutions.
  • Process Improvement: Evaluate current processes and systems, recommending improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Act as a liaison between business teams and technical teams, ensuring alignment and clarity throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Presentations: Support Product Owner / Manager in creating powerpoint presentations for key decision making and to stakeholders.
  • Testing & Validation: Assist in creating test cases and validating solutions to ensure they meet business requirements and quality standards.
  • Documentation: Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for solutions, including process flows, system designs, and user manuals.
