JOB DESCRIPTION

At Carnival UK, we’re on a journey to transform our technology landscape—and we’re looking for a talented Solution Architect to help lead the way. If you’re passionate about designing innovative, scalable solutions and want to make a real impact in a dynamic, customer-focused business, this could be your next big move.
As a Solution Architect, you’ll be at the heart of shaping how technology supports our business goals. You’ll work across a wide range of applications, translating complex business needs into clear, effective technical solutions. This is a role for someone who thrives on variety, enjoys solving complex problems, and is excited by the opportunity to influence the future of technology at Carnival UK. You’ll collaborate with stakeholders across the business and technology teams, ensuring our solutions are not only fit for purpose but also aligned with our long-term strategy.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Our ideal candidates are those who possess not only the technical skills required for the role but also a passion for technology and a keen eye for detail.

  • Breadth of experience in solution design and architecture, ideally gained across diverse organisations—demonstrating adaptability to varying methodologies, cultures, and ways of working
  • Expertise in defining and documenting technology solutions and re-usable solution design patterns
  • A solid understanding of application, infrastructure, integration and data architecture.
  • Proven ability to collaborate across large teams and influence stakeholders

ABOUT YOU

You are someone who thrives in a collaborative environment yet can work with a high degree of accuracy and accountability. Your qualifications in technology are just the start; we’re looking for a team member who is eager to learn, grow, and contribute to our collective success.

  • Comfortable with ambiguity, you see it as a space for innovation and creative thinking.
  • Communicating with a wide range of stakeholders comes naturally, and you know how to tailor your message to different audiences.
  • Complex problems don’t intimidate you—in fact, you enjoy breaking them down and finding clarity
  • Change energises you, especially when it brings opportunities to improve, evolve, and make a lasting impact

ABOUT US

Holidays are one of life’s greatest pleasures. Having the chance to relax, escape and explore is a magical thing. And there is no better holiday than a cruise.
No one knows cruising like Carnival UK, where talented people from across the globe come together to create unforgettable holiday happiness. As part of the world’s largest holiday travel and leisure company, we take enormous pride in bringing to life two of the most iconic brands from Britain’s rich seafaring heritage, P&O Cruises and Cunard. Collectively they have been delivering unbridled joy, boundless adventure and lifelong memories to millions of people for over 350 years. And in a multi-million pound global holiday market, where cruising has barely scratched the surface, we have the opportunity to do that for many, many more people.
Our diverse yet tight knit teams share high standards, heartfelt values and passion for our purpose. Our Culture Essentials describe the expectations we have for ourselves and of each other, in building a culture that supports safe, sustainable, compliant operations and celebrates diversity, equity and inclusion.
It’s through the successful delivery of these extraordinary travel experiences for our target markets and our distinctive culture, that we hope to become Travel’s Employer of Choice.
