for a permanent position on client projects, working remotely with experience in the public sector and/or the German Armed Forces (m/f/d).     

Your responsibilities

• Conceptualization, design and further development of complex data center and infrastructure architectures, taking into account availability, security, scalability and cost-effectiveness.
• Creation of target architectures as well as development of technical solution and migration concepts for data center modernizations, consolidations and transformation projects.
• Analysis of existing IT infrastructures and derivation of architecture and optimization recommendations for data center environments
• Creation and maintenance of architectural concepts, technical designs, and infrastructure and operational documentation
• Modeling and documentation of solution architectures using ARIS and Sparx Enterprise Architect (EA)
• Consulting for clients, departments and project teams in the planning and implementation of complex data center and infrastructure projects
• Design and integration of Microsoft infrastructures, especially in the areas of Windows Server, Active Directory, virtualization and hybrid cloud.
• Development of migration and transformation strategies for data center and platform environments, taking into account business continuity and disaster recovery requirements.
• Conducting architecture reviews and ensuring compliance with technical standards, governance requirements and best practices.
• Close collaboration with infrastructure, network, cloud and security architects to develop holistic solution architectures
• Support in the selection and evaluation of new technologies as well as the derivation of recommendations for action for the continuous development of the data center landscape
• Technical support during implementation as well as assistance during testing, acceptance and commissioning phases
• Presentation and coordination of architectural concepts with clients, project teams and management, as well as support in technical decision-making processes.

Your expertise

• Solid experience in the architecture and design of complex data center and IT infrastructures 
• Comprehensive knowledge in the creation, evaluation and further development of architectural concepts for data center, infrastructure and platform solutions.
• Experience in creating and maintaining technical architecture, design, and operational documentation according to established architecture and governance standards.
• Excellent knowledge of architectural modeling and documentation using ARIS and Sparx Enterprise Architect (EA)
• Solid knowledge of Microsoft infrastructures, especially in the areas of Windows Server, Active Directory, virtualization, and Microsoft-based data center and hybrid cloud environments.
• Experience in developing target architectures as well as evaluating and optimizing existing IT and data center landscapes
• Strong understanding of enterprise architecture, infrastructure governance, and the integration of modern data center and cloud technologies.
• Experience in cloud environments (VCF, GDC, Open Stack) and containerization
• Desirable: TOGAF, Microsoft and other industry-specific certifications
• German native speaker or at least C1 level German
