OVERVIEW

JST is currently seeking a mission-oriented Solution Architect to join our Growth team supporting federal government proposals and strategic solutioning. In this role, you will lead the design and articulation of complex, integrated technical solutions that span cloud computing, cybersecurity, data platforms, and AI/ML capabilities. As a senior technical leader, you will collaborate with capture managers, program leaders, engineers, partners, and SMEs to develop winning technical solutions for high-value RFPs, RFIs, and sole-source opportunities.

SOLUTION ARCHITECT QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience designing and delivering federal enterprise IT solutions.
  • 4+ years of experience leading technical solutioning for federal proposals.
  • Deep understanding of federal IT environments, acquisition strategy, and proposal processes.
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience implementing software development, cloud, cybersecurity, data platforms, and/or artificial intelligence solutions within a federal IT environment.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills; ability to brief technical and executive audiences.
  • Proven leadership experience guiding cross-functional teams in developing technical volumes for winning proposals valued over $50M.
  • Experience in creation of white papers, proposals, and briefings demonstrating the thought leadership capabilities of the organization, as well as supporting various marketing and business development efforts through customer interaction.
Responsibilities
  • Lead solution architecture development for large-scale federal proposals from early capture through final submission.
  • Support thought leadership throughout pipeline development lifecycle to identify solution requirements, align technical strategy, and develop winning partnerships to support proposal activities.
  • Translate mission objectives into comprehensive technical solutions leveraging cloud, cybersecurity, data engineering, and Artificial Intelligence.
  • Create compelling, compliant, and technically sound proposal artifacts, including Technical Narratives, Architecture Diagrams, Staffing Approaches, Pricing Models, Technical Volumes, and Oral Presentation Materials.
  • Collaborate with delivery, engineering, pricing, growth, and contracts teams to ensure proposed solutions are executable and cost-effective.
  • Participate in capture strategy development, including win themes, discriminators, market analysis, and competitor analysis.
  • Interface with government customers to shape and influence requirements pre-solicitation.
  • Mentor and guide junior architects, proposal writers, and SMEs throughout the proposal lifecycle.
