Leidos has an immediate opening for Solution Architect to join our Cyber and Analytics Business Area (CABA) team in Columbia, MD.
In this role, you will help customers solve their more demanding challenges via technology, modernization, and transformation processes, and proven methods and solutions. As part of a creative, forward-thinking team, you will help shape solutions to make the world safer, healthier, and more efficient. As a Solution Architect, you will work with business development, research and development, and other subject matter experts to develop optimal and differentiated Leidos solutions to be delivered on programs, in proposals, or on research and development projects. In addition to developing solutions, you will help prospective customers and partners understand the value and benefits of the Leidos solution, explain technical features and transformation strategies, engage in proof of concepts, and troubleshoot potential problems.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors degree in a STEM related discipline and 8 – 12 years of prior relevant experience or a Masters with 6 – 10 years of prior relevant experience.
- Working knowledge of diverse technology domains to include Cloud Technologies, Data Processing/Analytics, Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, AI/ML, and/or Computer Network Operations.
- Strong technical breadth in support of the government markets and in particular in classified government mission and enterprise system design, implementation, operations, and modernization
- Experience supporting IC and/or DoD customers with demonstrated technical expertise
- Ability to quickly get up to speed on emerging technologies and identify solutions applicable to the CABA customer environments
- Ability to author, present, and articulate problem sets and associated solution elements in settings supporting customers, business development, program delivery, technical teams, and executives
- US citizen with an active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience as a solution architect or technical volume lead on captures and proposals
- Understanding of specialized data processing domains (ELINT, SIGINT, etc.)
- Understanding of defensive and offensive cyber security technologies
- Experience with enterprise system architectures and development
- Experience with integrating new technologies into existing system architectures
Responsibilities:
- In coordination with program teams and CABA leadership, identify technology and solution roadmaps to improve mission enterprise capabilities resulting in increased contract growth and improved customer satisfaction
- Establish and apply Leidos best practices, lessons learned, and technological approaches related to system modernization and transformation technologies, including Modern Software Development Approaches, Networking, AIOps, Zero Trust Patterns, Cybersecurity Automation, Cloud Migration, DevSecOps, and Computer Network Operations.
- Partner with the Business Development teams to support new business strategies, including the development of technical solutions, basis of estimates, white papers, industry relationships, analysis of alternatives (AoA), and responses to Market Surveys, RFIs,RFPs, and proposals.
- Support the Business Development teams with customer calls and the Leidos corporate business development process for larger opportunities
- Support the Business Development team with current and future captures and proposals for new business.
- Strengthen existing programs with application of technology and/or innovation by working with peer Business Area teams, Business Area CTOs, and other Leidos Sectors; leveraging known technology and solutions on current programs and new business pursuits
- Understand competitor and teammate technology competencies
