The Position
Reporting to the VP Solution Strategy and Architecture, the Solution Architect is a position focused on business process, functional and technical design, working with development resources, and deployment of Dynamics 365 for Finance & Supply Chain Management (previously known as AX and Axapta) ERP solution, Dynamics 365 Business Central (previously known as NAV and Navision), Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement, and Power Platform.
The Senior Solution Architect will lead the design, development, and deployment of Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform solutions. This role involves working closely with clients to understand their business needs and translating them into technical solutions. The architect will also mentor team members and stay updated with the latest Microsoft technologies. Creativity, hyperfocus, problem-solving skills, adaptability, energy, enthusiasm, and the ability to handle complexity are essential qualities for success in this role.
We prioritize deep subject matter expertise and staying current with Microsoft developments through testing new updates, attending technical conferences, and actively participating in partner previews. Effective and clear communication of complex solutions to clients, prospects, and coworkers is a top priority. Key Areas of Responsibility

• Assist with presales efforts, RFP responses.
• Lead proof-of-concept engagements.
• Collaborate with the sales team on Statements of Work and provide trusted advisory services.
• Translate client requirements into functional and technical designs.
• Lead project discovery and analysis phases.
• Create and review design documents for accuracy and effort estimation.
• Utilize creativity to design innovative solutions that meet client needs.
• Mentor core team members, as well as provide mentorship to the broader Encore team.
• Ensure knowledge transfer from presales to implementation.
• Foster a dynamic and positive work environment through energy and enthusiasm.
• Guide functional and development resources to ensure quality and functionality of delivered solutions.
• Provide alternative solutions for complex D365 requests.
• Assist in data migrations, mapping, and integrations.
• Apply problem-solving skills to identify connections between seemingly unrelated ideas.
• Stay updated with Microsoft developments by testing new updates and attending technical conferences.
• Adapt to new technologies and trends with resilience.

Desired Skills & Competencies

• Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain Management: Expertise in finance, trade and logistics, projects, and production modules.
• Knowledge of Service, MRP, Shop Floor, and Retail in Dynamics 356 Finance & Supply Chain Management preferred.
• Dynamics 365 Business Central: Expertise in finance, sales and distribution, projects, service management and production modules.
• Knowledge of Service, MRP, Shop Floor in Dynamics 365 Business Central preferred.
• Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement: Expertise in Sales, Customer Service, and Project Operations modules.
• Knowledge of Field Service and Marketing modules preferred.
• Expertise in Power Apps, Power BI, Power Automate, and Power Virtual Agents.
• Experience with D365 F&SCM integrations and migrations.
• Experience with D365 BC integration and migrations.
• Understanding of D365 cloud computing technologies and emerging trends.
• Understanding of Azure as a platform.
• Experience with database design.
• Deep understanding of data models and data relationships.
• Essential in-depth knowledge of industry-specific business processes and best practices.
• Experience in industries such as manufacturing, retail, finance, or professional services preferred.

Professional Experience

• 4-year degree in Business, Accounting, MIS or equivalent.
• Dynamics 365 functional/architectural certifications preferred.
• 5+ years hands-on expertise in implementing Microsoft Dynamics D365, F&SCM, F&O, AX.
• 5+ years hands-on expertise in implementing Microsoft Dynamics D365 Customer Engagement.
• 5+ years hands-on expertise in implementing Microsoft Dynamics D365 Business Central.
• 5+ years experience in analyzing business processes and guiding clients through software selection and discovery processes.
• 3 – 5 years technical software experience preferred with exposure to development environments and knowledge of MS/Azure SQL, X++, Morphx, .Net, AL, Power Platform, Web services, APIs.
• 3 – 5 years data modeling and analysis experience, MS SQL, Dataverse.
• 2+ years of experience providing technical and Functional QA/mentoring.
• Experience in industries such as manufacturing, retail, finance, or professional services preferred.
• Proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget an asset.
• Willing and able to travel; valid passport is required.
• Must be resident of Canada or the United States and legally entitled to work in resident country.
• Must be fluent in English – both verbal and written.
