Solutions Architect and Technical Lead Position Overview As our Data Insights Solutions Architect and Technical Lead, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our data platforms and products. You will lead the design, integration, and ongoing optimisation of both established in market platforms and new, innovative data products and ventures, ensuring they are reliable, scalable, and built to support complex data, analytics, and reporting needs. This role offers the opportunity to set technical direction across architecture, development, and operations, while working closely with talented engineers and product leaders. You will provide hands on technical leadership, mentor team members, and guide key architectural decisions that influence how our platforms evolve and scale over time. With a strong mix of strategic thinking and practical delivery, this role has a direct and lasting impact on the success of our data ecosystem. You will evaluate and introduce new technologies, challenge existing approaches, and help drive high quality, fit for purpose solutions that support the next generation of data products across APAC. This role calls on a broad and rewarding set of skills, spanning business analysis, architecture, technical leadership, and hands on software development. You will actively engage with team members through technical discussions, code and documentation reviews, creating an environment where ideas are shared, challenged, and refined. The successful candidate will confidently and constructively challenge assumptions to enable well-reasoned technical decisions, while proactively anticipating and planning for database growth, performance demands, and evolving business needs. As the data platforms and team continue to evolve, you will help shape architectural direction, establish best practices, and make a meaningful, long-term impact on the success of the data platform. Key Responsibilities Maintain and optimise core data architecture, integrations, and processing workflows Monitor and lead performance improvements across critical data pipelines and calculations Manage and monitor database health, capacity, scaling, and resilience across environments Oversee deployment and release processes to ensure smooth transitions and minimal downtime Mentor team members in database design, application management, and troubleshooting Document architectural decisions, processes, and key system context to support onboarding and continuity Facilitate and encourage peer review of documentation, code, and design decisions Implement and refine business logic, calculations, and reporting capabilities Coordinate with partners and internal stakeholders to prototype, evaluate, and implement solutions Identify risks, single points of failure, and drive improvements in system reliability and resilience Skills & Qualifications Strong hands on expertise across Azure, SQL Server, C#, .NET, and modern data warehouse architecture Experience designing and operating large scale systems with a strong focus on performance, stability, and scalability Demonstrated ability to objectively evaluate architectural and software options and lead teams toward optimal technical outcomes Proven ability to translate complex business requirements into practical, well designed technical solutions Experience managing, optimising, and supporting data services, including efficient resolution of production issues Familiarity with integration patterns, data processing frameworks, and reporting platforms within modern data ecosystems Strong communication and documentation skills, with the ability to mentor engineers and guide technical decision making Ability to manage priorities and contribute effectively across multiple concurrent initiatives Experience supporting deployment and release management across multiple environments Benefits: Flexible working arrangements Annual performance-related bonus 6x Flexi AnyDay: knock 2.5 hours off your day!
