Escode’s Escrow Verification Services serve as a crucial quality control mechanism, confirming the completeness and usability of deposited code as stipulated in the escrow agreement. The Opportunity:
The Escode Division has a community of technical and commercial staff each making use of and providing services to customers and software vendors through traditional on premise and cloud technologies.
As a Solution Architect within NCC Group’s Escode division, you will be a technical specialist across a broad range of software escrow services to our clients and technology partners. Your core focus is to be a technical point of contact both internally and externally, and ensure the design, implementation, review of solutions which support revenue growth through predominantly existing clients. You will have good knowledge of Software Application Development and Cloud Infrastructure, working alongside Sales, Legal and Technical Operations Teams, to create market leading solutions in line with the strategic objectives of the Escode Division.

The Challenge:

  • Research and architect products and services to ensure the continued growth of all services within the Global Software Resilience division.
  • Attendance of conference calls and onsite meetings including complex/strategic requirements to support the Sales Teams in their positioning of our services. This may include presentations to both large and small audiences.
  • Mentoring and assisting in technical team development while holding teams accountable for their commitments and leveraging organisational resources to improve capacity for project work.
  • Liaising with Sales, Pre-sales, Technical and Legal staff to clarify points raised as part of the sales process.
  • Provision of technical scoping information to the various Sales Teams and clients. This information may be in the form of technical documents, face-to-face discussions, or over the telephone.
  • Quality assurance of complex client-facing documents, including proposals and methodology literature, to ensure the solution proposed by NCC Group meets the client’s requirements, and that the time allowed in the proposals is sufficient to perform the work in scope.
  • Creation of technical documents following scoping to ensure accurate transfer of solution and requirements to the delivery consultant.
  • Acting as an escalation point for technical assistance required by the Verification Consultant (service delivery) and Cloud Operations Teams.
  • Contributor to product management and innovation. Feeding back on research and client opportunities to shape and build our current and future product portfolio.
  • Ensuring and enforcing a regional focus on all initiatives with regular engagement to regional stakeholders in weekly and monthly meetings.
  • Opportunity to specialise and train in a technology of interest.

Essential Skills:

  • Strong presales/technical consultancy skills including risk mitigation, stakeholder management, reporting, project and time management.
  • Experience in a range of common programming languages and cloud technologies, including the Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services and Google Cloud Platforms.
  • Excellent presentation skills to both small and large audiences.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with proven ability to explain technical content to a non-technical audience.
  • Proven ability to manage client interactions and understand demanding technical engagements, whilst working to project deadlines.
  • Excellent document writing and presentation skills on complex solutions.
  • Demonstrable understanding of complex, full life-cycle software development projects.

Preferred Skills:

  • Entry level certification in AWS/Azure/GCP or relevant equivalent
  • Experience with interpreting Architectural design documentation and creating technical statements of work.
  • Experience with Salesforce
  • Experience in managing the design and delivery of off the shelf, consultancy and marketplace offerings

The Person:
It is essential the successful candidate has a positive, proactive, resilient aptitude to technical consulting, technical sales and administrative tasks in addition to a pragmatic approach to problem solving. A candidate with keen interest in new and emerging technologies and methodologies is preferred. They must be able to demonstrate their organisational skills, flexibility, and enjoy working within a global team environment. It is also essential that the successful person is accurate with their work and is attentive to detail. There may be requirements of out of hours support required for certain projects dependant on project deadlines and international customers.
