Description

We are looking for a Solution Architect – Operational Technology (x|f|m) for the Manufacturing IT department at Sartorius Corporate Administration GmbH. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our operational technology (OT) landscape. You will design and implement innovative OT architecture solutions to ensure secure, scalable, and efficient production environments. This position is available for full-time. It is a hybrid role requiring some days on site at our headquarters in Göttingen with the opportunity to work some days remotely.

Grow with us – Your Responsibilities

  • You will develop holistic OT architecture concepts to support manufacturing processes - focussing on scalability, reliability and strategic alignment with the company’s goals
  • You will be responsible for defining and modelling end-to-end architectures for production systems, including the integration of systems, machines and IoT devices
  • You will design secure network architectures based on the IEC62443 zone and conduit model to ensure a protected and efficient flow of data between machines, plants and buildings
  • The continuous optimization and maintenance of OT systems is also part of your area of responsibility - including error analysis, troubleshooting and planning system upgrades
  • In addition, you will implement security guidelines and ensure compliance with them in order to secure the OT infrastructure in accordance with current standards and best practices

What will convince us

  • A degree in information technology, computer science or comparable training with relevant professional experience forms the basis of your qualifications
  • You have sound experience in the design and implementation of OT architectures - ideally in an industrial or production-related environment
  • You are confident in dealing with production-related systems such as PLC, SCADA or MES as well as knowledge of communication protocols such as OPC UA and MQTT
  • You have in-depth knowledge of network technologies, e.g. VRRP, WLAN, NAC, PPTN, PUTN, 802.1X, HSRP, MPLS or BGP
  • Your knowledge in the administration of Microsoft and Linux server operating systems as well as in virtualisation technologies (e.g. VMware, Hyper-V) is proven in practice
  • Personally, you have strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with interdisciplinary teams and stakeholders
  • Very good written and spoken German and English skills enable you to work smoothly in an international environment
