As a Solution Architect for the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), you will be responsible for future-proof, scalable solution architectures with a strong focus on in-house developments and will apply your experience from classic software development to cloud and integration scenarios.

They design end-to-end architectures on SAP BTP, evaluate technical options, and ensure that the overall architecture remains stable, extensible, and performant.
■
In development, you will actively participate instead of being solely involved in conceptual or governance roles, and implement side-by-side extensions for SAP S/4HANA, cloud-native applications, and integration and interface solutions.
■
In doing so, you will use technologies such as Agentic Coding, SAP CAP (Node.js / Java), UI5 / Fiori and ABAP (classic as well as ABAP RESTful / RAP), define clear development standards and derive architectural principles and best practices.
■
They work closely with specialist departments, developers and other architects, evaluate new SAP BTP services and innovations, and provide support with code reviews, technical decisions, and performance and security issues .
Experience & further qualifications
■
Completed studies in computer science, business informatics or a comparable qualification as well as several years of experience as a software developer or tech lead, ideally with subsequent assumption of architectural responsibility.
■
Excellent knowledge of one or more classic development technologies, for example ABAP (classic, object-oriented), Java, JavaScript or Node.js
■
Solid practical experience with the SAP Business Technology Platform, for example with CAP, Kyma, Cloud Foundry, as well as with components such as Integration Suite, Eventing, and Destinations.
■
A solid understanding of modern software architectures, including cloud architectures, microservices, APIs and integration concepts, complemented by DevOps and CI/CD know-how such as Git, pipelines and automated tests.
