QUALIFICATIONS:

• 7+ years of experience as an API Platform Engineer or Architect or similar role.
• Strong understanding of API gateways, API catalogs, and service mesh technologies (e.g., Kong, Apigee, Tyk, Istio).
• Experience with Cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Proven ability to design and implement secure and scalable APIs.
• Experience with API governance frameworks and best practices.
• Familiarity with API-first development principles.
• Experience with Cloud SRE practices.
• Understanding of BIAN service domains and semantic models.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Continuous learner with a passion for technology.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Synechron is looking to hire a Solution Architect for Sydney location!

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design, develop, and maintain APIs using API gateways, API catalogs, and service mesh technologies.
• Implement strong API security practices, including authentication, authorization, and encryption.
• Define and enforce API governance policies and procedures.
• Manage the entire API lifecycle, from design and development to deployment, operation, and retirement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, engineering, security) to define and implement API strategies.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest API trends and technologies.
• Apply Cloud SRE principles to ensure reliability and scalability of the API platform.
• Understand BIAN service domains and semantic models for standards compliant API design.
