SOLUTION ARCHITECT

  • This is a pivotal role within our Operations Team
  • You will join a leading international IT solution company that genuinely cares and values its people.
  • The position is full-time – Canberra-based.
    We are seeking a Solution Architect Engineer to join our Canberra team providing end-to-end technical solutions. Reporting to our Project Manager, you will be responsible for the successful implementation, integration, and innovation of C4I solutions to meet customer strategic and operational needs.

THE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WE ARE LOOKING FOR

You preferably bring a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar. Masters are highly regarded. Furthermore, you must have knowledge of enterprise architecture, systems architecture, integration architecture, security architecture standards, frameworks, and practices. Additionally, you must have knowledge in the areas of administration and operation of military command information systems, tactical radio devices and radio networks, and ITIL.
TOGAF, DODAF, or AUSDAF qualifications are highly regarded in this role.
Joining as our new colleague, we would also like to see a good breadth of knowledge across all IT domains including Integration, Cloud, User Experience, and business process, with some experience in applying technology solutions to customer problems proactively. That also means competencies and experience in managing relationships with customers, IT teams, and internal stakeholders are important.
Lastly, you must have well-developed written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities
  • Provision of best practice advice for designing and deploying C4I systems working with customers and Defence industry partners.
  • Understanding customer strategies and help determine the business and technical requirements that will be used in developing solutions or solution alternatives.
  • Contribute to Australian Army input into the product roadmap and Beta testing of new features and releases.
  • Communicates the impact of changes and new products in C41 software suite on customers.
  • Design and depict concepts and solutions using rich, graphical methods.
  • Conduct technical workshops for customers and internally.
  • Directs others in solving complex problems based on existing solutions and processes and considering multiple perspectives and diverse sources of information.
  • Participate in delivering pre-sales and post-sales advice and support to a variety of customers and stakeholders.
  • Participate in writing the technical part of proposals and providing estimates for the technical solutions.
