In partnership with the technical leadership team, you will make a significant contribution to the setting of the technical direction of all aspects of our technology space. What does a day in the life look like? Technical leadership & Strategy Define the Technical Roadmap in collaboration with the Enterprise Architect and peer Solutions Architects. Work closely with Product Leadership to define the product roadmap and provide essential technical direction. Champion Architecture Quality, reducing technical debt and protecting systems from new complexity. Research and recommend the implementation of innovative technologies. Define design standards and patterns for developers to ensure consistency and quality. Advise and mentor technology team members on architectural matters Architecture & Delivery Translate complex business requirements into robust technical solutions. Create detailed design documentation, including diagrams, data models, and integration specifications. Ensure adherence to privacy, security, reliability, and quality standards in all solutions. Manage the ongoing technical modernisation program (language support, infrastructure versions, patching). Be hands-on with code when required for proofs of concept (POCs), complex features, or code reviews. Stay current with major platform trends (AWS, GCP, MongoDB, .NET). Business & Stakeholder Engagement Liaise with key business stakeholders to drive outcome-based solution design. Assist the wider business in a technical capacity during critical events (e.g., major event ingress support). About You Essential experience & skills A minimum of 7 years in software development and 3 years in Solutions Architecture, with proven experience delivering mobile, e-commerce, and web-based solutions. Extensive knowledge of Solutions Architecture, SOA/MSA, and applying standards (including UML, security, and reliability patterns) to technical architecture designs. In-depth knowledge of .NET, ASP.NET MVC, .NET Core, RESTful APIs, SQL Server, and MongoDB. Deep expertise in AWS cloud architecture and design, with basic awareness of Azure and GCP. Strong exposure to modern CI/CD practices (e.g., Ansible, Jenkins) and the ability to balance best practice with innovation. Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to confidently present and translate complex technical solutions to non-technical audiences. Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology or a related field.
