KEY SKILLS REQUIRED
- Architecting Data Solutions: Accountable for the design and development of end-to-end data architecture and BI solutions that ensure efficient data flow, storage, integration, and retrieval across various platforms (on-prem and cloud-based), whilst collaborating with data engineering resources.
- Data Modeling: Create and maintain complex data models (logical, physical, and conceptual) to ensure the consistency, integrity, and accessibility of data across the organization.
- BI Strategy & Frameworks: Develop the overall BI strategy, including selecting the appropriate tools and platforms, defining governance processes, and establishing best practices for reporting and analytics.
- ETL/ELT Processes: Design and oversee the development of efficient Extract, Transform, Load (ETL/ELT) pipelines for ingesting and processing large-scale data sets from multiple data sources.
- Collaboration with Stakeholders: Work closely with Business Leaders, Analysts, and other stakeholders to understand requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and deliver data-driven solutions that align with business goals.
- Data Governance: Ensure data quality, governance, and security practices are implemented across all data solutions to maintain compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Cloud & On-Premise Solutions: Design hybrid data environments that leverage both on-premises and Azure cloud technologies for data storage, analytics, and reporting.
- Performance Optimization: Continuously monitor and optimize the performance of the data architecture and BI systems to improve query efficiency, processing speed, and overall system reliability.
- Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and mentoring to Data Engineers, BI Developers, and other team members involved in the data lifecycle.
- Tool Selection and Evaluation: Lead the evaluation and selection of BI tools, platforms, and emerging technologies to ensure that the organization remains at the forefront of data analytics innovation.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology) or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of experience in a Solution Architect or a related role.
- Experience in extracting applicable data from databases using SQL.
- Experience in cloud computing platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).
- Experience with BI tools like Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
- Programming skills in languages such as Python, C#, or Java an advantage.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Knowledge of data governance and security best practices.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
