Description

We are seeking an experienced and delivery-oriented TMS Consultant to support the implementation and rollout of our Transportation Management System as part of our logistics transformation roadmap.
This role will work closely with the Solution Architect – Logistic to ensure that functional process design, system configuration, and integration are aligned with the overall logistics architecture and digital strategy.
The Consultant will provide hands-on configuration expertise, contribute to testing and training, and support seamless integration with ERP, WMS, and other supply chain systems. This role is essential to delivering scalable transportation solutions that improve visibility, cost control, and operational efficiency across the network.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience implementing and configuring Transportation Management Systems (TMS) in global or regional environments
  • Strong functional knowledge of transportation planning, carrier management, freight cost control, and shipment execution
  • Direct experience with Oracle Transportation Management (OTM) or equivalent TMS platforms (e.g., SAP TM, Blue Yonder, Manhattan TMS)
  • Experience integrating TMS with ERP (e.g., Infor, SAP, Oracle) and WMS platforms
  • Working knowledge of EDI standards (e.g., 204, 210, 214) and API/web services for carrier and system integration
  • Hands-on experience with transportation master data, rate tables, routing guides, and freight tendering
  • Familiarity with SQL or TMS-related reporting/query tools for validation and data analysis
  • Experience supporting interface testing, data migration, and transportation transaction flows
  • Proficient in tools such as JIRA, ServiceNow, or equivalent ticketing/sprint tracking platforms
  • Strong collaboration skills to work alongside solution architects, integration engineers, and regional business teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to document configurations and train business users
  • Experience in FMCG, food production, or logistics-intensive industries is preferred
Responsibilities
  • Serve as the functional SME for TMS implementation, working under the guidance of the Solution Architect – Logistic to ensure solution alignment and architectural consistency
  • Configure TMS modules for transportation planning, execution, carrier assignment, freight costing, and visibility
  • Participate in business workshops to validate requirements, map transportation processes, and ensure fit-to-standard adoption
  • Design and support system interfaces between TMS, ERP, WMS, and external carrier systems using EDI standards and API/web services to enable seamless end-to-end transportation flows
  • Lead data migration and validation efforts using tools such as SQL or query-based validation, ensuring master data integrity and transactional readiness
  • Support full testing lifecycle (SIT/UAT), defect resolution, and deployment readiness
  • Assist with training delivery, hypercare support, and documentation of key processes and configurations
  • Escalate critical architecture or design deviations to the Solution Architect – Logistic and collaborate on mitigation plans
  • Provide post-go-live feedback and recommendations for process/system optimization
  • Contribute to deployment templates and lessons learned to support rollout consistency across regions
