Job Description
The Solution Engineer (SE) is the primary contact to produce technical solutions in line with customers’ requirements, working closely with the Account Manager (AM) in a supporting presales role.
As a Solution Engineer at Arelion, you will be critical to our success by being a creative solutions-oriented consultant and an “influencer” at key touchpoints in the Sales Life Cycle and you will have the opportunity to help define what excellence and process creation mean in this role.

Key responsibilities:

  • Customer visits and telephone meetings alongside the AM
  • Strategize with the AM to drive sales of solution offerings.
  • Experience navigating and working with IT & Network Organizations
  • Work cross-functionally across Product Development, Engineering, Services and Delivery teams.
  • In formal RFP/RFI/RFQ bidding environments, act as point person for all technical portions of the bid package, analyse specifications, drawings, and other documents to prepare time, costs, materials, and labour estimates including bid and design-build projects.
  • A broader role sharing best practice, experience, and knowledge with the rest of the organisation and thus contributing to improvements across the company
  • Customer visits and telephone meetings.
  • Building customer solutions.
  • Production of solution documents.
  • Solution implementation.
  • Input to Product, Process and Network improvements.

Skills & Requirements

  • Proven experience working with companies of all sizes from small business up to the largest enterprises and employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, time management and listening skills with proven ability to motivate and train.
  • Proven experience with technical business documentation like workflow diagrams, proposals, SOWs, RFPs and RFIs etc.…
  • A proven track record demonstrating good business judgment, and an ability to make decisions, good problem solving and solution design skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal, and writing.
  • Understanding of business and operations.
  • Proactive, Can-Do attitude.
  • Good team player with strong interpersonal skills to maintain a positive working atmosphere and establish collaborative relationships with various levels of management required.
  • Flexible, open to change
  • EXPERIENCE At least 5 years’ experience al work experience.
  • EDUCATION Master degree or equivalent.
  • LANGUAGE Fluency in spoken and written English.
