Overview Proactively identifies and engages customer technical decision makers and influencers while partnering with sales teams to help shape and execute sales strategy. Acts as a technical thought leader, mentor, and strategic advisor across cross‑workload, cross‑team, and cross‑geography engagements. Responsibilities Job Responsibilities Lead Strategic Customer & Sales Engagements Identify and engage key customer technical decision makers and influencers, partnering with sales teams to shape deal strategy and position Microsoft solutions using deep customer, technical, and industry context. Drive Complex, Cross‑Workload Technical Wins Lead and ensure complex technical wins across workloads, teams, subsidiaries, and geographies by establishing rules of engagement, coaching technical sellers, and leveraging Microsoft tools, programs, and delivery motions (e.g., FastTrack, ECIFs, CSU). Build Competitive Strategy & Market Intelligence Develop and document competitive knowledge and compete patterns, act as a subject matter expert on competitive landscapes, and deliver insights to sales, product, and engineering teams to drive differentiated selling strategies and escalations. Design, Prove, and Position Solutions Oversee and deliver architectural design sessions, pilots, proofs of concept, and demonstrations across multiple Microsoft products, adapting reference architectures to complex customer requirements and positioning solutions effectively against competitors. Scale Wins Through Partner Ecosystem Promote and scale solutions in a sell‑with partner motion by developing deep partner relationships, supporting partner technical capacity, monitoring resource readiness, and identifying new partnership opportunities aligned to subsidiary strategy. Shape Market & Subsidiary Response to Emerging Threats Proactively identify market patterns and competitive threats, developing strategic cross‑workload and account‑level responses while delivering actionable feedback to business groups on market trends, customer needs, and solution gaps. Provide Technical Leadership & Thought Leadership Act as a technical thought leader by building readiness plans, mentoring peers, leading internal technical communities, and delivering best‑practice architectures, content, and presentations at Microsoft events and forums. Qualifications Required/minimum qualifications Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 4+ years technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 6+ years technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience OR 7+ years technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience OR equivalent experience. Advanced proficiency in English and Spanish, with the ability to communicate effectively in both languages in professional, technical, and business contexts. Additional or preferred qualifications 8+ years technical pre-sales, technical consulting, or technology delivery, or related experience OR equivalent experience. 6+ years experience with cloud and hybrid, or on premises infrastructures, architecture designs, migrations, industry standards, and/or technology management. Certification in relevant technologies or disciplines (e.g., Office 365, Power BI, Azure Architect and Development exams, Cloud Platform Technologies, Information Security, Architecture).
