Our opportunity
As Solution Engineer, Construction Operating Platform, you will be responsible for functional support and platform optimisation to maximise platform usability. Working within a small agile team you will contribute to making Mirvac’s construction operating platform accessible, reusable, secure and modern so that it better enables products and outcomes and ensures the integrity of Mirvac’s Construction systems and data.

Contribute to the delivery of user stories through solution engineering focusing on reusability across products and outcomes.
Conducting analysis of solution requirements of both simple and complex work packages in accordance with agreed standards.
Developing solution designs, coding and testing for specific work packages in accordance with agreed standards.
Engineering solutions that minimise technical debt and maximise release velocity.
Contribute to promoting and maintaining Mirvac’s coding and design standards.
Performance of technical tasks, including unit test functions, to support internal quality control outcomes in accordance with agreed standards.
Active participation in user story refinement to sufficiently shape story outcomes and size.
Proactively voice blockers and barriers to progress or completion of user stories early.
Active participation in sprint reviews to showcase what’s been achieved in the sprint as well as participation in the sprint retrospective to enhance team velocity.
Collaboration with product teams, platform teams and business stakeholders.
Identify platform enhancements that will improve the user experience and enable a more accessible, stable, secure and supportable platform.
Contributes to the formation of the platform roadmap.
Your point of difference
You are an experienced IT professional with over 5 years of hands-on experience implementing and supporting operational systems. You bring a strong technical foundation along with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively. To succeed in this role, you will also have:
A relevant tertiary qualification in IT, Computer Science, or a related field
Ability to balance project and escalated support tasks
Ability to think strategically, adapt to change, deal with ambiguity and complexity
Strong attention to detail regarding quality / robust nature of code, best development practices
Web Technologies (ASP Classic, .NET – MVC)
SQL Technologies
SSIS Development
Crystal and SSRS Report Development
Basic understanding of integration principles and common data exchange methods (e.g., APIs, webhooks, file transfers).
Familiarity with workflow automation or orchestration tools (e.g., Power Automate, Zapier, or similar) to streamline business processes.
Ability to define basic data mappings and understand API request/response structures (e.g., JSON, XML).
Awareness of key concepts like system connectivity, data flow, and error handling in integrated environments.
A proactive and self-motivated approach with the ability to solve problems, improve system and procedural efficiency and effectiveness, and resolve issues as they arise
Experience with platforms such as RIB, Aconex, or Visibuild (preferred but not essential)
