You will collaborate closely with customers and our teams to deliver end-to-end technical solutions. From system integration to on-site technical support and training sessions, you will make a genuine impact in this role!

BROAD TECHNICAL SKILLS AND CUSTOMER-FACING EXPERIENCE

To succeed in the role, you must have strong and diverse technical skills combined with several years of experience from a similar role. You probably also bring experience within software development or software system testing to the job.
Strong knowledge and an understanding of computer networking, software and hardware systems as well as scripting skills (PowerShell) will be key. You will also be a step ahead if you know about complex software and hardware systems and have experience with Docker and Kubernetes.

Ideally, you:

  • enjoy travelling internationally, with travel accounting for an estimated 20-30% of your time
  • have a structured and organised work style

  • preferably have a military background and/or NATO knowledge (e.g. military veteran or worked in the defence domain previously).

We are also looking for a colleague with technical skills within:

  • interface technologies (e.g. REST, SOAP, working with APIs)
  • Windows, including Active Directory, PowerShell etc.
  • Linux
  • hardware (network infrastructure, server, radios).

Please note that you must be able to present a clean criminal record and have lived in a NATO/EU country for the past seven years as we work with security-classified projects. Read more here.

Responsibilities:

As a Solution Engineer, you will play a key role in implementing SitaWare HQ across NATO. Working closely with the customer, your team and the software development teams, you will deliver end-to-end technical solutions to ensure that all requirements are met. Your role involves hands-on system integration and real-time deployment for web and application-based HQ communications.

Your everyday tasks will be:

  • implementing, designing and supporting technical solutions at customer sites
  • conducting technical training for our customers – both in classroom environments and in workshop-like set-ups
  • supporting the training of administrators and end-users
  • coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, subcontractors, consultants and colleagues
  • providing first and second-level customer support.
