Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

In this role, you will act as the technical interface between Sales and Engineering within the Business Line Industries – Service Robotics. You will develop competitive technical solutions, create cost-optimized offers and act as a sparring partner for the Sales team. Your automation concepts will help our customers in various service robotics applications to increase efficiency, productivity and flexibility.
The work model for the role is: Hybrid / Onsite / Remote
This role is contributing to the Robotics Division, Business Line Industries – Service Robotics in the DACH-Region. Main stakeholders are Sales, Engineering, Supply Chain Management and our customers in the field of service robotics automation.

YOU WILL BE MAINLY ACCOUNTABLE FOR:

  • Developing solution concepts for robotic automation systems in close coordination with Sales and Engineering
  • Creating quotations and technical proposals, including coordination of documents, cost estimation and risk evaluation
  • Ensuring technical and commercial competitiveness of offers through value engineering and cost transparency
  • Acting as a technical advisor in customer meetings, project reviews and internal planning rounds
  • Supporting the creation and negotiation of subcontracts together with SCM and Legal
  • Incorporating specific application requirements from laboratory automation, healthcare, and life sciences (e.g., regarding regulatory standards such as CE, MDR, GMP, or IVDR)
  • Collaborating closely with application and software engineering teams to assess feasibility of customer-specific solutions involving robotic integration with pipetting systems, LIMS, or sample transport equipment
    You will join a passionate and innovation-driven team in a growing segment, where you will be able to shape customer solutions from the first idea to the final quotation.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ROLE

  • Completed technical studies in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, mechatronics or similar discipline – or equivalent through professional experience
  • At least 2 years of experience in automation systems engineering, robot programming, solution design or technical sales support
  • Profound technical understanding and the ability to clearly present complex automation concepts
  • Experience with simulation tools (e.g. RobotStudio, Process Simulate) and CAD software is a plus
  • Fluency in German and English, both written and spoken
  • Customer-centric mindset, strong communication skills and structured working style
  • Willingness to travel approx. 20% (mainly within DACH)
  • Experience or strong interest in laboratory automation or healthcare/life sciences environments is considered an asset
  • Basic understanding of regulatory frameworks (e.g., MDR, GMP) is a plus
