We at Bohemia Interactive Simulations are a well-established company specializing in the development of world-leading, game-based military simulations for major NATO powers and their allies. Our mission is to advance the industry by leveraging the latest technologies and trends, including whole-world simulation, virtual reality, motion tracking, and AI.
We are seeking a motivated Solutions Architect to join our team. The Solutions Architect (SA) Designs, architects, proposes, and articulates commercially exploitable and immediately actionable solutions for our customers, incorporating BISim and Pitch technologies.
The SA is a technical subject matter expert in BISim’s simulation and training capabilities and technology and has a strong technical expertise with board coverage across BISim’s products, simulation, training, and the Defence enterprise. The SA works closely with the BISim Business Development, Engineering, and Product Management teams to architect solutions for existing and/or potential military, government, and industry customers. The SA will initially engage with external stakeholders and customers to demonstrate our products as BISim Subject Matter Expert (SME), going on to, design compelling technical solutions that compliant are commercially exploitable. The SA manages and nurtures the relationship between BISim and its key customers with active opportunities, ensuring that the technical aspects of our solution align with the customer’s and BISim’s needs and objectives.
The SA demonstrates effective written and verbal communication between internal and external, technical and commercial, experts and in-experts on BISim’s capabilities and technologies. The SA also has the experience and aptitude to understand customers’ training use cases and training objectives and ideally has exposure to the defense industry, situation, and culture.
This is a mid-level position; the successful candidate would be paired with more experienced SAs on moderately complex solutions engineering tasks. The successful candidate should demonstrate some, if not all, of the Key Areas of Responsibility, Objectives, Skills, Education and Experience, and Additional Attributes to a moderate standard.

SKILLS:

  • Effective and confident verbal and written communication.
  • Strong technical competence and subject matter knowledge in Defense, Simulation and Training.
  • Solutions architecture with systems engineering principles.
  • A scientific, logical and pragmatic approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to ingest technical data and knowledge.
  • Formal technical writing training or relevant experience in proposal writing and development.
  • Excellent customer relationship management.
  • Technical project management.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Ability to understand and then evangelize BISim’s products (including demonstrating products).

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Degree level or above in numerate, physics or computer science field or or equivalent work experience
  • Experience in simulation technology (hardware and software).
  • Customer requirements management.
  • Experience in solutions architecture and systems engineering principles.
  • In-depth knowledge of computer hardware and software.
  • Detailed knowledge of software development process and principles.
  • Experience in the defense simulation industry would be beneficial.
  • Practical use of VBS or other COTS simulation software applications in military simulation would be beneficial.
