JOB DESCRIPTION:
Solutions Architect designs project-level technical solutions that meet business objectives and adhere to corporate and industry technical and security best practices. They develop stakeholder consensus for these solutions and confirm that implementations match the designed solution. The Solutions Architect position focuses on our Corporate application portfolio with an added focus on Finance.
- Solution visions: Collaborate with the Business Solutions Analysts, Business Engagement Directors, and Business stakeholders to refine the scope of each solution architecture engagement, understand solution requirements, identify risks, and determine architectural patterns
- Solution designs: Create technical solutions that are aligned with the company’s technology strategy and fully responsive to business needs and requirements. This is likely to include designing system integrations involving ERP (Yardi) and Mulesoft, business intelligence solutions (PowerBI and Tableau), identifying automation candidates (UiPath) and business process analysis in concert with business analysts. Obtain review and approval of solutions per the company’s architecture governance process.
- Solution architecture documentation: Create and maintain appropriate architecture artifacts (models and documents) for development teams and other architects.
- Implementation support and conformance: Assist development teams in understanding solution designs and ensure implemented solutions conform to the approved architecture.
- Existing architecture reviews: analyze and report on existing architectures that relate to the Corporate segment.
- Segment architecture advice to EA: Keep current with industry best practices and recommend new patterns, frameworks, technologies, standards, and policies when appropriate.
QUALIFICATION NEEDED:
- Post-secondary education in Information Technology or Computer Science
- Minimum 7 years of application software development and/or systems integration
- Minimum 3 years of architecting and designing business solutions, solutions, at least 2 years involving large financial systems
- Additional education or experience in Finance would be beneficial
- Experience with one or more ERP platforms and knowledge of relevant integration patterns would be beneficial.

Responsibilities:
- Ability to initiate and build relationships with business and technical stakeholders, built upon excellent listening, interpersonal, and written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to operate independently: exercise judgment, prioritize effectively, be highly self-motivated, have excellent analytical, mathematical, and creative problem-solving skills, and learn very quickly.
- Demonstrated desire and ability to keep current with the latest trends in relevant technology.
- Experience with a range of development methodologies.
- Comfort working across a range of architecture domains at the solution level, including application, integration, data, security, and technology/cloud/infrastructure.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate architectures in those domains in writing and visually using various diagramming techniques such as UML, ERDs, C4, proprietary cloud infrastructure, BPMN, etc.
- Hands-on experience with major cloud providers’ infrastructure and services (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Excellent understanding of solution development lifecycle concepts
- Good knowledge of IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS concepts
- Additional specialization in an architecture domain, such as application or integration architecture, would be a plus for contributing to segment and enterprise-level architecture tasks.
