Roles & Responsibilities

Define the target architecture for AI and cloud-native solutions across Abu Dhabi government, from concept through to production. Design RAG systems, agentic AI workflows and LLM integration patterns at scale, including vector stores, orchestration, evaluation and guardrails. Ensure designs meet regulatory, data-residency and AI-governance obligations, with controls documented for audit and assurance. Maintain architectural standards and decision records, and provide design sign-off and technical assurance across programmes. Work with engineering teams to produce high-level and low-level designs and guide them through implementation. Work with product managers to understand requirements and translate them into pragmatic, well- sequenced architecture. Present architecture options, trade-offs and risks clearly and persuasively to executive and non-technical audiences.

Desired Candidate Profile

• 12+ years in solution or enterprise architecture, including at least 1 year delivering AI solutions in production. 5+ years of experience with Azure, including sovereign or government cloud variants. Hands-on knowledge of LLM patterns: RAG, vector databases and orchestration frameworks such as LangChain or CrewAI. Strong grounding in cloud-native architecture (containers, APIs, event-driven design) and in Zero Trust and encryption-by-default principles. Experience guiding engineering teams and working closely with product managers in a multi-stakeholder environment. Experience in a regulated sector: finance, healthcare, government or energy.
