About the role Node4 are looking to recruit a Solutions Architect to join the Internal Systems Team. The Internal Systems function adopts a client and service centric approach to continually improving services through the deployment of effective technology and automation. The Internal Systems team are responsible for the adaptation and implementation of tooling, systems, and technologies within Node4. The team is pivotal in driving operational efficiency, streamlining, and ensuring seamless service delivery to our clients. Solutions Architects are essential in aligning IT architecture with business goals, ensuring systems and tools enable and empower Node4’s users, and driving innovation in internal operations. RESPONSIBILITIES As a Solutions Architect you will report to the Chief Architect and be an integral part of the Internal Systems team responsible for: · Develop and maintain architectural blueprints for internal systems, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards and business objectives. · Collaborate closely with the Chief Architect to refine architectural strategy, contribute to enterprise architecture initiatives, and support governance activities. · Partner with business units, IT teams, and senior leadership to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions that align with Node4’s Architectural and Systems principles. · Contribute towards driving cost efficiencies in systems and tooling across the organisation, and work towards unification, consolidation, and de-duplication. · Assess emerging technologies and recommend adoption strategies to improve internal processes, system performance, and client experience. · Design and provide input to the integration of internal applications, data flows, and services to ensure interoperability and data consistency. · Establish, enforce, and advocate architectural standards, best practices, and documentation across internal projects. · Ensure solutions adhere to security policies, data protection regulations, and compliance requirements. · Provide technical guidance to developers and engineers involved in internal projects. · Proactively demonstrate required behaviors in line with expectations of the role · Deliver to exceptionally high standards in a high-pressure environment and negotiate through demanding situations to reach successful conclusions. · Follow appropriate departmental and company procedures and policies. · Ensure consistency in a commitment to delivering Exceptional Service as a Standard (ESaaS) embedding client centricity and adopting a ‘client first’ culture. · Consistently demonstrate Node 4 Exceptional Service as a Standard (ESaaS) & Level 4 behaviors – acting as a role model & ambassador for Node4. · Develop good working relationships across all departments, both technical and operational. · Identify opportunities to add further value to the customer, team & wider business. · Seek feedback & regularly reflect on own performance. · Take personal responsibility for and actively engage in product, systems and skills training and development. What will you bring? · Experience in solution architecture, with a strong focus on internal systems and enterprise IT environments. · Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, and private cloud environments. · An experienced member of multi-disciplinary teams. · Experience of working within a Managed Services Provider, or similar environment. · Experience of developing relationships with internal and external stakeholders. · Experience in delivering IT Service Management governance and assurance. Skills · Any relevant technology certifications are advantageous (e.g. Microsoft and AWS certifications). · Working knowledge of cybersecurity principles, data governance, and regulatory compliance (e.g. GDPR, ISO 27001). · Familiarity with architecture frameworks like TOGAF and Microsoft Azure Well-Architected. · Strong communication and presentation skills, with the confidence to present architectural concepts and recommendations to senior leadership and executive stakeholders. · Participation in group activities and knowledge sharing with other team members – a team player who can work with diverse areas within Node4. · Understand the importance of and how to deliver Node4 ESaaS. · You must have exceptional attention to detail with excellent verbal and written communication skills (verbal, written and face-to-face). · Demonstrate a good understanding of Node4 solutions and an aptitude for developing software that supports internal and external client outcomes. · You are an effective manager of your own time and apply a structured approach to work tasks. · You must have a positive can-do attitude and enjoy working in a fast paced and energetic environment.
