EDUCATION & REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s Degree is required
• 6+ years’ experience in Cloud Ecosystem Architecture (AWS (must have), Azure)
• Must have understanding of key risk frameworks (Basel II/III/IV, IFRS, DORA) and regulatory requirements for risk platforms
• Familiarity with risk functions in banking (e.g., operational risk, credit risk, market risk, liquidity risk)
• Experience working with RESTful APIs, API-led design, Event Driven Architecture
• Experience in Agile environments (ideally Agile transformations) and Waterfall methodology
• Proficiency with databases (SQL, NoSQL) and data pipelines (ETL/Kafka) for large datasets
• Ability to perform cybersecurity risk assessment (ISAR)

ROLE DESCRIPTION:

The Solutions Architect will drive business requirement refinement with Business Owner and Tech Lead regarding Risk Management and Liquidity Risk Management platform enhancement projects. This person will be responsible for creating Macro Architecture, detailed Single Design (Technical Design), Process Diagram, Sequence Diagram, and Security Architecture Diagram. The ideal person also has background obtaining approval of said documents at various architecture boards including Solution Design Working Council, InfoSec Architecture Review (ISAR), Architecture Review Board (ARB). The SA will also participate in planning, technical design & blueprinting, roadmapping, and stakeholder management within ePMO and Enterprise Architectural settings for innovative digital solution development.

JOB DUTIES:

• Act as a liaison between Business Units and Consumer Banking IT during design and implementation of Risk Management and Liquidity Risk Management platforms and other platforms that support Liquidity Risk Management (LRM) ensuring robust systems and compliance with financial regulations.
• Perform comprehensive discovery analysis and definition of client issues and documents implementation in the form of a technical ("blue-print") solution for risk management tools.
• Build and maintain relationships and trust with key business stakeholders to understand business strategy and future needs while communicating monthly updates and produces presentations to senior management on matters of strategic importance to the department.
• Work with Enterprise Architecture team on systems design and implementation, helping to grow and develop the current retail business processes and technology implementations.
• Collaborate with project teams to fit projects to Enterprise Architecture in addition to senior leadership and IT leaders to develop project scopes and business cases to meet business/IT strategies and roadmaps.
• Work with Enterprise Level Architecture team to develop blueprints and roadmaps needed to achieve appropriate balance between IT efficiency and business innovation, allowing individual business units to innovate safely in their pursuit of competitive advantage.
• Develop and implement new Enterprise Architecture products, processes, standards of operational plans that will impact the achievement of functional standards and principles throughout the organization.
• Facilitate the development and implementation of Enterprise Architecture standards and adoption of requirements across the enterprise in addition to guiding improvements in tools and capabilities to support the Enterprise Architecture strategy and vision.
• Lead, guide, and mentor best practices, design standards, and implementation strategies for EA team and maintain sharp awareness of ever-developing industry methods, techniques, strategies and tools for risk and risk information, reporting recommendations regarding their adoption.
