At the heart of the university’s digital environment, the ICT Department is dedicated to delivering responsive and customer-focused support to all staff and students. We provide secure, reliable, and robust technologies that enable teaching, research, and administration to thrive. Our team champions the creative and innovative use of technology to enhance the user experience and drive adoption and continuous improvement across the institution.
We are seeking a Solution Architect to join our Enterprise Systems department within ICT. In this strategic role, you will work closely with the Head of Enterprise Systems, CIO, and colleagues across the University to drive our digital strategy. You will be responsible for defining and implementing architecture standards, leading integration strategies, and ensuring that all solutions align with the University’s long-term goals.
This role requires a forward-thinking leader with strong expertise in architecture, integration, governance, and emerging technologies. You will play a critical role in shaping the University’s digital future, ensuring that our systems are fit for purpose, interoperable, and deliver real value.

What you’ll bring:

  • Proven experience in defining and maintaining architecture frameworks in a complex environment
  • Expertise in designing and implementing secure, scalable, and integrated system architectures
  • Ability to produce clear, detailed architecture documentation, including roadmaps and system specifications
  • Demonstrable experience in enterprise integration and modernisation of legacy systems
  • A track record of working with senior stakeholders to influence digital strategy and governance
  • Experience acting as a technical authority during procurement processes, ensuring compatibility and value for money
  • A proactive approach to continuous learning, with strong awareness of emerging technologies and their application in higher education
