QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 7+ years of experience in web development, including a deep understanding of both front-end and back-end development principles and optimizing web application performance.
  • Experience with web technologies such as:
  • Vue, Angular, or React
  • NodeJS
  • Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams to design, build, and maintain web applications.
  • Previous experience leading project initiatives across multiple IT and business organizations.
  • Key contributor to strategic initiatives, with a proven ability to successfully develop proof of concept solutions.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and eagerness to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation) for both a technical and non-technical audience.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with peers and business partners.
  • In depth understanding and passion for excellence in the WWT Core Values.
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in computer science or Management Information Systems; A combination of education, training and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

The Solutions Architect is an innovative problem solver who increases efficiency across our applications and services that power wwt.com. This person will build and enhance applications within our ATC product and marketing technology stack, partner with our web and mobile development teams to overcome technical challenges, and work with ATC and Marketing stakeholders to help us stay proactive in supporting their goals.
As a Solutions Architect, you will be expected to have a broad and deep knowledge of various technologies, along with an intimate understanding of our business. You bring a significant amount of hands-on experience and a non-biased view of technology choices. You’ll be considered the “go-to” resource across development teams and pulled into our most complex and strategic initiatives. You’ll help teams establish technical and functional vision during project inception and see that vision through to product execution.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Building and delivering software solutions alongside the team.
  • Providing technical leadership, promoting best practices, and facilitating alignment across development teams.
  • Outlining the overall functional and technical vision of high-impact projects, including what technologies and strategies to leverage.
  • Working ahead of teams to determine solutions for approaching problems.
  • Providing technical guidance for production issues.
  • Assisting in diagnosing and resolving performance and load testing anomalies.
  • Gaining a deep understanding of business needs by working across departments and incorporating feedback into the team’s strategy.
  • Identifying problems and collaborating with development teams, product management, and leadership to eliminate technical debt.
  • Taking responsibility for pursuing continuous improvement and staying informed about the latest technology trends and solutions.
