The Role
In this role, you will report to the Delivery Director of Americas under America’s sales team and provide consulting network solutions to clients. You will be ready to face challenges with creativity, think outside the box, generate new ideas, and be flexible and adapt to changes in the work environment.
Responsibilities include:
Consult with clients and provide network solutions
- Work effectively within a network environment and requirements.
- Design and showcase new or better high- and low-level architectural designs for network-based features or implementations.
- Acts as the subject matter expert within a specific discipline
- Configuration and troubleshooting Routers, Switches, and Firewalls, including Drivenets products
- Create the Migration plan, designing and managing the activity
- Take ownership of the problem, follow-up until it resolved & create an incident report for the same
- Organize training to provide sufficient manpower to the client
- Demonstrate proof of concept to the customer
- Perform automated tasks using basic Python/bash scripts for repetitive activities
- Effectively work with the sales teams and other groups within Drivenets as needed.
- Travel as needed to customers
Requirements:
Seeking an experienced Senior Solutions Architect/Network Engineer with over 8 years of experience in network planning, designing, implementation, troubleshooting, and network migration through local and remote environments.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Deep knowledge and experience in Routing & Switching technologies.
- Proven experience in sectors such as Service Providers and/or very large complex enterprise networks. Experience in post-delivery implementation and solutions to service providers, MSO, and/or cloud content providers.
EDUCATION (1 ITEM MINIMAL NEED)
- Masters/Bachelor of Engineering
- Diploma in Computer Engineering
QUALIFICATIONS & CERTIFICATIONS (1 item minimal need)
- CCNP-RS / JNCIP-ENT or equivalent hands-on experience
- CCNP-SP / JNCIP-SP or equivalent hands-on experience
- CCIE-RS(ENT) / JNCIE-ENT or equivalent hands-on experience
- CCIE-SP / JNCIE-SP or equivalent hands-on experience
- ITILv3 F: Information Technology Infrastructure Library V3
TECHNICAL SKILLS
- Proven experience in deploying LAN, WAN, enterprise, and service-provider solutions
- IPv4/IPv6 stack or dual-stack deployments
- Carrier routing protocol stack such as BGP, IS-IS, OSPF
- Carrier control-plane protocol stacks such as LDP, RSVP, SR, BGP-LU, ISIS-TE & OSPF-TE extensions, ISIS-SR and OSPF-SR extensions, LFA/FRR, TI-LFA/FRR
- Carrier services such as MPLS, L2VPN, L3VPN, RSVP-TE, SR, SR-TE
- Working experience with network management protocol stack such as SNMPv2c, SNMPv3, NetFlow, gNMI/gRPC, RADIUS, TACACS
- Basic understanding of secure VPN technologies such as site-to-site VPN (IPsec), remote-access VPN (SSL/IPsec), tuneless VPN (GETVPN), hub & spoke VPN (DMVPN)
- Basic knowledge of TCL/Python scripting language
- Strong experience with Cloud technologies and platforms (e.g., KVM, Containers, Docker, K8s)
- Working level Linux skills or certifications
PRODUCT EXPERIENCE
- Strong for Cisco or Juniper Routers & Switches (Enterprise & Service-Provider)
- Basic for HP, DELL, or Arista Switches
- Basics of virtualization platforms such as ESXi, VMware, KVM, EVE-NG, GNS3
- Basics of cloud technologies and solution offering from AWS, Azure, Google Cloud
- Basics of network change management, incident management, fault isolation and root cause analysis such as SolarWinds, CA-Spectrum
