Detailed Responsibilities:

  • Solution Design & Development
  • Develop detailed warehousing and distribution solutions for new and existing customers, covering layout design, storage strategies, material flow, and automation opportunities.
  • Conduct capacity planning and space utilization analysis to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Prepare end-to-end warehouse design models, including racking systems, MHE (Material Handling Equipment), automation technologies, and workforce planning.
  • Define Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for proposed solutions.
  • Support business development with RFP/RFQ responses by preparing solution proposals, layouts, and cost models.
  • Data Analysis & Modeling
  • Analyze client data (volumes, SKUs, order profiles, seasonality) to design tailored solutions.
  • Build and validate operational models (e.g., throughput analysis, pick/pack optimization, labor productivity forecasting).
  • Use simulation tools and warehouse design software to create scenarios for solution evaluation.
  • Project Implementation & Support
  • Work with project managers to ensure smooth handover from design to implementation.
  • Monitor early-stage operations to validate solution effectiveness and recommend improvements.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within existing operations by identifying process optimization opportunities.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration
  • Liaise with clients to understand business requirements and translate them into effective solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders including Operations, IT, Finance, and HR to ensure feasibility of solutions.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to clients and senior management, showcasing technical and commercial viability.

Qualifications & Characteristics:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field
  • 4–7 years’ experience in warehouse design, solutions engineering, or supply chain consulting (3PL, retail, FMCG)
  • Expertise in warehouse layout design, automation solutions, and operational modeling
  • Experience with large-scale 3PL operations; UAE/GCC exposure preferred
  • Proficient in AutoCAD (or similar) and advanced Excel for analytical modeling
  • Knowledge of WMS and ERP platforms; familiarity with simulation tools (e.g., AnyLogic, FlexSim) a plus
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and business acumen with focus on cost and service optimization
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Innovative mindset with up-to-date knowledge of warehousing technologies and automation trends
