ABOUT THE ROLE:

We’re a team at Confluent Solutions Engineering that supports both the broader Confluent Solutions Engineering community and Confluent customers throughout their journey. Our mission is to amplify the capabilities of Solutions Engineering teams through outstanding service delivery and technical prowess, playing a pivotal role in the entire customer engagement lifecycle.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Technical Acumen: Develop a strong technical understanding of the Confluent technologies and use this effectively to discover new customer use cases and build compelling solutions
  • Technical Discovery and POC/Pilot Solutions: Gather customer requirements, identify use cases, and facilitate the development of Proof of Concept (POC)/Pilot solutions. Partner with Confluent stakeholders to aid customers in overcoming technical challenges during initial blueprinting and use case deployment.
  • Value Selling: Clear articulation of Confluent’s technical and product positioning to a wide variety of business and technical stakeholders, and for forging strong relationships with them throughout the sales cycle and beyond.
  • Prospect Demos and Evangelization: Collaborate with Confluent’s Account Executives (AEs) and Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) to bring our offerings to new prospects. Craft and deliver tailored demos that go beyond the standard, showcasing the unique value proposition Confluent has to offer.
  • Customer Engagement: Offer technical expertise in driving customer consumption through monthly customer health reports, Quarterly Business Reviews, and Quarterly Technical Reviews.
  • Knowledge Sharing, Workshops, and Training: Support cross-functional teams, including Field Marketing, Partner Solutions by conducting training sessions and workshops/webinars for customers, partners, prospects, and internal teams to educate them on Confluent’s platform/cloud, features, and best practices.
  • RFP/Vendor risk assessment Support: Contribute to vendor risk assessments to ensure a comprehensive understanding of potential risks and opportunities associated with proposed solutions. Assist in answering Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Quotations (RFQs).
  • Technical Artifact Creation and Maintenance: Architect, build, and maintain reusable artifacts, including tools, prototypes, demos, workshops, and architecture blueprints.
