Description
About the Role In this role, you will lead the design and development of supply chain solutions across a wide range of scales—from large geographical optimization to detailed process and workstation design. You will be a key contributor during RFQ processes, customer proposals, and new business launches. You will collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams, guide junior colleagues, and act as a subject matter expert on engineering tools and methodologies. Your work will directly influence operational performance, customer satisfaction, and the successful deployment of new solutions across the business. How You Will Contribute Lead the design of supply chain solutions, from macro‑level network concepts to detailed process and station layouts, as part of RFQ activities. Develop and refine solution concepts for formal customer proposals, including process flows, KPIs, and facility layouts, collaborating with the Engineering team where needed. Partner with Business Development, Account Management, Launch, and Operations teams during solution definition and development. Present technical solutions to customers via proposals, calls, and presentations alongside Account Management. Translate awarded RFQ concepts into detailed, validated designs as part of the launch process. Support or lead engineering activities during new business launches, including master data creation, process validation, infrastructure coordination, onboarding of plant teams, and contractor management. Serve as an ambassador for DP World’s values, ensuring safety, integrity, and positive behaviours in all work. Act as a connector between regional engineering and other business functions as needed. Ensure alignment between engineering, operations, and support functions during RFQ and launch phases. Convert high‑level operational objectives into practical, deployable solutions for live operations. Contribute to regional and global initiatives aimed at continuous improvement. Conduct new MTM process assessments or update existing processes. Provide clear data and metrics that reflect individual and team contributions to the business. Act as a troubleshooter, identifying operational issues, performing root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions. Work independently on any site, ensuring engineering requirements are delivered as expected. Support the training and development of plant‑based engineering teams, embedding regional standards. Serve as a subject matter expert for engineering tools and techniques, including MTM, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Excel. Carry out any other activities aligned with the role’s purpose and the needs of the engineering and operational teams. What You Will Bring Degree in relevant discipline or equivalent practical experience. Lean and Six Sigma knowledge or certification. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels. Ability to understand customer requirements and represent their needs within the engineering function. Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to draw meaningful conclusions. Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas), Word, Visio or equivalent, project management tools, and proficiency in AutoCAD (2D and 3D). Experience in project management and operations. Change management capabilities and a proactive, improvement‑focused mindset. #LI-SD2
