Wood is currently recruiting for a full time Solutions Engineer to support our Consulting business in Calgary, AB. This is an office-based role, and the ideal candidate will be self-motivated, detail oriented, strong communication skills, and practiced organizational skills with experience in the Manufacturing, Oil & Gas, or Petrochemical industries.
This is an exciting time to be joining Wood as the Products business is looking to double its revenue by 2028. The successful candidate will work with a dynamic and growing team who use their technical expertise to solve some of the world’s toughest vibration issues.

Responsibilities
  • New product and component design while following engineering processes and best practices
  • Lead large-scale mitigation projects, providing weekly client updates while ensuring delivery remains on schedule and within budget.
  • Lead product testing which includes:
  • Concept designs of new potential products
  • Preparing test rigs with products, some manual lifting required
  • Configuring equipment and sensors for applicable test
  • Performing tests and recording results
  • Communicating testing and results into technical report
  • Assist in the quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) process
  • Participates in the investigation of NCRs / SCRs / Customer Complaints and involved in corrective and preventative actions (CAPAs) and their associated resolutions
  • Participate and occasionally lead technical discussions with new clients
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously with the ability to identify, prioritize, and manage workload to meet deadlines
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
