We are seeking a Solutions Engineer to join our growing Sales Engineering department. This role is tailored for a detail-oriented technical professional who will be responsible for managing and responding to technical and security-focused due diligence questionnaires (DDQs). Over time, this individual will have the opportunity to expand their scope to support sales engagements as a coverage Solutions Engineer, helping to articulate the value of Egnyte to prospective customers.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2+ years of experience in technical roles such as Solutions Engineering, Technical Support, Professional Services, IT Analyst or a similar position.
- Solid understanding of information security principles, compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, SOC 2, ISO 27001), and cloud technologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to quickly grasp and explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Bonus Qualifications: Familiarity with Egnyte or other cloud-based content collaboration platforms and experience in responding to security-related questionnaires or RFPs.
Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of the process of responding to technical and security-focused Due Diligence Questionnaires (DDQs) from customers and prospects.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including InfoSec, Product, Engineering, Legal, HR and Compliance, to ensure accurate, timely, and high-quality responses.
- Maintain and update a knowledge repository for standard DDQ answers, ensuring consistency and efficiency in future responses.
- Work closely with Account Executives, SEs, and other stakeholders to understand customer requirements and provide tailored responses.
- Build and maintain strong cross-functional relationships to streamline the DDQ and security questionnaire response process.
- Develop a deep understanding of Egnyte’s product offerings, including features, integrations, and compliance capabilities.
- Assist the Sales team during technical discussions, demos, and Proof-of-Concepts (POCs).
- Act as a trusted advisor to customers by addressing their technical needs and concerns.
