Description
Engage with customers to understand their requirements and pain points. Investigate current business processes to identify problems, complexities, non-value-added steps, and inefficiencies that can be improved. Use demonstration environments that have been personally configured to ensure the customer can see themselves at the center of the demonstration. Translate technical capabilities and map these to values propositions that resonate with customers' pain points. Respond to RFIs/RFPs in a concise, well thought out manner. Understand sales methodologies (e.g., MEDDICC) to be able to support the sales team in the execution of the sales lifecycle, particularly in early sales qualification/prove stages. Become a trusted partner what works alongside the sales team. Act as the opportunity team leader to coordinate the engagement of global technical resources on local opportunities. Act as a thought leader for Digital Transformation for manufacturing companies in sales/marketing activities, conferences, seminars, industry events, etc. Track customer solution usage and adoption to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction and retention. Possess comprehensive engineering & discrete manufacturing process knowledge. Demonstrate a proven track record of presales engineering and/or implementation of complex software solutions, for discrete industry customers. Proficient in PLM and/or ALM and related technologies, and ability to explain and demonstrate these solutions to customers and partners. Experience in programming languages (Java, JavaScript, Go, Python) a big advantage. Knowledge of Web systems: HTTP, HTML, CSS, REST API, etc. Basic knowledge of operating systems, e.g., Linus, an advantage. Ability to understand technical configurations and customizations. Ability to create customized, live demos using customer data and scenarios/use cases. Able to track changes and developments in a fast-paced software development environment and integrate these into future presentations and responses. Able to build a wide network of internal peers - in Japan, in region, and globally - and coordinate input from these peers to deliver complex solutions and educate customers and partners. Curiosity outside of your core expertise, positive attitude, good business sense and good communication skills. Able to prioritise and manage conflicting project schedules, work independently and ensure that deadlines/expectations are met. Willing to challenge the status quo to help drive for better outcomes. Fluent in Japanese; working-level business English: speaking, reading, writing.
