YOUR SKILLS & ABILITIES (REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS)

  • 10+ years of experience in solutions or systems architecture.
  • Proven experience leading architectural strategy for end-to-end automation and robotics solutions.
  • Deep understanding of solution lifecycle management, from concept through deployment and sustainment.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including performance tuning and debugging of complex systems.
  • Proficiency in creating comprehensive technical documentation for diverse development teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor technical professionals across multiple solution domains.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience balancing complex project constraints and making informed trade-offs.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.

Compensation: The compensation information is a good faith estimate only. It is based on what a successful applicant might be paid in accordance with applicable state laws.   • The salary range for this role is $117,800 - $184,300 . The actual base salary a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.

Responsibilities

THE ROLE

As the Solutions Portfolio Architect Lead – Automation & Robotics , you will define and drive the architectural vision for a portfolio of end-to-end automation and robotics solutions. You will lead strategic planning, design, and oversight of complex solution architectures, ensuring alignment with business goals, technology standards, and market needs. This role requires deep architectural expertise, leadership across multiple solution domains, and the ability to balance constraints while delivering scalable, innovative systems. You will guide a team of architects and collaborate with stakeholders across technical and business functions to ensure successful execution from concept to deployment.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Define and manage solution roadmaps, requirements, deployment plans, and playbooks across the automation and robotics portfolio.
  • Own and maintain product and portfolio-level documentation including L0 requirements, roadmap prioritizations, and enabling technology strategies.
  • Create detailed technical documentation (diagrams, models, specifications) to guide development teams.
  • Lead design reviews, debugging, and performance analysis to ensure solution integrity and scalability.
  • Provide technical leadership throughout the product and solution lifecycle, mentoring architects and development teams.
  • Balance constraints such as cost, resources, compliance, and time-to-launch to deliver viable solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into actionable technical plans.
  • Advocate for process improvements and share best practices across the solution portfolio.
  • Ensure alignment of individual projects with broader business strategy and technology standards.
