If you’re looking to move beyond transactional purchasing and play a direct role in project success, this role offers exactly that. You will join Schneider Electric’s Digital Power business within the NAM Solutions & Services organization, a project-driven environment where procurement is fully embedded in execution and directly impacts delivery performance and financial outcomes. From the earliest tendering stages through to project execution, you will contribute to supplier strategy, risk management, and overall project success. You will work closely with project teams, operations, and suppliers across North America, in a fast-paced environment where your decisions have a direct influence on both execution and margin. What you’ll be doing Support projects from tendering through execution, contributing to supplier strategy and purchasing decisions Analyze customer requirements and identify sourcing approaches aligned with project needs Engage with suppliers early in the solution design phase to anticipate constraints and opportunities Lead RFIs, RFQs, and supplier consultations, including negotiations Contribute to risk identification and define mitigation plans across the project lifecycle Ensure alignment between supplier commitments and project or customer contract requirements Manage purchase orders end-to-end, including creation, follow-up, and issue resolution Monitor supplier performance and proactively address delivery, quality, or contractual risks Support scope changes, renegotiations, and contract or claim management activities Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders including Project Managers, Logistics, SRM, and Contract Management Contribute to continuous improvement through supplier evaluations and project feedback What you bring Experience in purchasing, with exposure to supplier negotiations and contract management Ability to identify and mitigate risks within a project or delivery environment Experience working with multiple stakeholders in a cross-functional or matrix organization Strong communication and influencing skills, including in complex environments Ability to manage priorities, adapt quickly, and operate effectively under time pressure Team-oriented approach, with a proactive and collaborative mindset You might also have A degree in engineering, international business, or a related field Experience in project-based procurement or technical environments Exposure to a wide range of suppliers or categories Additional language skills The compensation range for this full-time position, which includes base pay and short-term incentive is $75,200 - $112,800 for candidates who are Ontario residents. Our salary ranges are determined by including roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the salary range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
