Our Smart Biometrics division delivers advanced identity and authentication solutions that help secure digital interactions, physical access, and citizen services.We are expanding our presence in the US market and are seeking a dynamic Solution Sales Development Director to drive enterprise growth. This is a pivotal role for a strategic, consultative sales professional who thrives on building relationships, identifying opportunities, and closing high-value software and solutions deals in the identity, KYC, and security sectors. About the Role The Solution Sales Development Director will lead business development efforts across the US, focusing on identifying, developing, and closing software and enterprise-level solution opportunities. You will take a value-based selling approach, working closely with clients to understand their needs and collaborating with internal product, engineering, and delivery teams to craft tailored, impactful solutions.We value proven success in complex solution selling over formal credentials — if you’re a trusted advisor who drives growth through expertise, curiosity, and results, we want to hear from you. Key Responsibilities Sales Strategy: Develop and execute go-to-market and sales strategies for complex solution offerings that align with customer and business objectives Apply structured sales practices such as territory planning, account development, pipeline management, gap analysis, and risk mitigation Lead generation: Proactively identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities through networking, outreach, and inbound inquiries Build a strong pipeline across targeted verticals, particularly within identity, KYC, and public safety/security Consultative Selling: Engage with prospects to understand their operational challenges, needs, and goals Position IDEMIA’s Smart Biometrics solutions through a value-based approach, demonstrating clear ROI and differentiation Cycle Management: Own the full sales cycle from initial contact to contract signing including needs analysis, proposal development, pricing, negotiation, and closure Collaborate with legal, finance, and program teams to ensure smooth execution and compliance Partner & Account Management: Establish, manage, and grow strategic relationships with customers and partners to ensure long-term satisfaction and retention Act as a trusted advisor, providing insights that influence both customer strategy and IDEMIA’s roadmap Collaboration: Partner with Product Management, Program Management, and Client Solutions teams to shape proposals that meet client objectives Share customer insights and market feedback to support ongoing product development and innovation Sales Reporting & Forecasting: Maintain accurate sales activity, pipeline, and forecasting data using CRM tools and provide regular sales reporting and business performance analysis to leadership Qualifications What We’re Looking For 15+ years of proven success in solution sales within security, identity, KYC, or biometrics industries Strong understanding of consultative and value-based sales methodologies for complex, enterprise-level solutions Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed annual sales targets in high-value solution environments Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with comfort discussing both commercial and technical aspects of deals Ability to build and sustain relationships with C-level decision makers and key stakeholders Strategic thinker and self-starter, able to operate autonomously while collaborating across global teams Bachelor’s degree required; a degree in Business, Engineering, or related field is preferred Compensation & Benefits The US base salary range for this full-time position is $134,000 – $168,000 per year, plus benefits and performance-based incentives. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within this range, individual compensation will depend on work location, experience, and the results demonstrated.
