JOB DESCRIPTION

This is a varied and flexible role requiring excellent organisational skills and the ability to work well both independently and as part of a team. The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of duties, including secretarial support for the ADHD service, and adapting to the changing needs of the team.
You’ll work closely with a variety of stakeholders, including clinicians, administration teams across the Trust, service users, carers, and external agencies. As part of our commitment to service development, you will be expected to take initiative, manage multiple priorities, and maintain high standards of confidentiality and professionalism.

Your responsibilities will also include:

  • Typing and formatting of reports, letters, forms, and minutes whilst maintaining accuracy, appropriate layout, and presentation.
  • Managing diaries and appointment bookings for clinical staff.
  • Supporting the Trust’s core values by providing outstanding care and working collaboratively.

This role is ideal for someone who is proactive, patient-focused, and enjoys working in a healthcare environment where no two days are the same.

Responsibilities

MAIN DUTIES, TASKS & SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Provide comprehensive secretarial services including audio typing, telephone duties, and minute-taking.
  • Handle all incoming and outgoing communications (post and email) efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential client records, both paper and electronic.
  • Manage petty cash, stationery supplies, and office equipment maintenance.
  • Organise appointments, meetings, and maintain room booking systems.
  • Support colleagues during periods of absence and contribute to onboarding new staff.
  • Ensure a courteous, professional point of contact for all team-related enquiries.
  • To assist with entering data, using Microsoft Office Packages regarding referrals, appointments, treatment, and reviews.
